How HOC’s Home Improvement Loans Can Help Complete Your Home Projects

Do you have a leaky roof that needs fixed? Or would you like to renovate a bathroom to accommodate you or another family member? Are limited funds the reason these projects have been put on the backburner?

Luckily, the HomeOwnership Center’s home repair loans can help you start enjoying your home in a new, renovated way!

Improving your home has tons of benefits for the homeowner and the resale value (should you decide to sell your home later down the road). Home improvement projects can modernize your home, increase living space, make your home safer and provide a new sense of comfort.

Here’s everything you need to know about our home improvement loans.

  • Most home projects can be completed with our home improvement loans.

Our home improvement loans can be used for any home improvement project except to install or repair a pool, hot tub/jacuzzi, patio, landscaping projects or to repair or pay for the installation of a detached storage building.

  • Our income guidelines are generous.

Our loans are available to folks who live within our service area in West Virginia and whose total income for a household size of 1-4 persons with an income up to $90,300, or for a household of 5 or more with an income up to $119,200.

  • Our credit score guidelines are flexible.

Applicant(s) must have a minimum credit score of 600. However, if you are concerned about your credit score, our homeownership advisors can advise you on how to increase your score and help you get approved for our home improvement loan.

  • Borrowers can receive up to $20,000 (depending on your credit score).

Borrowers with a credit score below 700 can receive up to $12,500 for their home improvement project. Borrowers with a credit score of 700 or above credit score can receive up to $20,000.

  • You have time to repay the loan.

Borrowers with a loan up to $12,500 have seven years to repay the loan while borrowers of up to $20,000 have 10 years.

At the HomeOwnership Center, we understand the value of homeownership (it’s in our name!) and how expensive improving your home can be. We’ll work with you to improve your credit score, budget your income, and do what we can to get you approved for a home improvement loan.
